MONDIACULT Pre Event: Culture4Climate – Advocating for culture as a standalone goal in the post-2030 agenda

As part of the official UNESCO MONDIACULT Pre-Event-Program 2N2K Deutschland will be hosting a dialogue session “Culture4Climate – Advocating for culture as a standalone goal in the post-2030 agenda”.
The evening talk by 2N2K Deutschland in collaboration with the UCLG Culture Summit 2025 is tackling a main topic of MONDIACULT 2025 and builds on long-term experiences from 2N2K´s nationwide Culture4Climate programme. Advancing climate protection and sustainability in the German cultural sector. Culture4Climate brings together cultural institutions, practitioners, networks, associations, administrations and environmental organizations. The programme promotes collaborative action on climate and sustainability goals, offering creative labs, practical tools, and strategic partnerships for measurable emission reductions and cultural transformation. Referring to the programme´s policy paper Culture as element of transformative environmental policy and its Sustainability Declaration for the Cultural Sector the dialogue series collects voices and positions from different perspectives to the central conference issue: How will culture as a standalone goal in the post-2030 agenda enhance sustainable development in the regions and integrate diverse societal and political ambitions.
